The German Post Office

I started the blog when I went to Germany in 2007. I haven't posted to it since then, but I plan to post to it on a regular basis. I thought I'd stick with the title. This is the packing label I used to ship souvenirs home instead of carrying them on the plane. The German post office is a branch of the company DHL. The "D" must stand for devil. I love Germany but their post office is satanic. They will give you a tracking number which they swear will allow you to track your package. It never works. The packages arrived in a timely manner, but forget about tracking them.

It's been forever since I've posted to my blog. I going to start to use the blog to make little observations every now and then. By the way, I'm glad spring is here.

Chicago

Well here's what I did with my 10 hour layover, which eventually became a 12 hour layover. I took the blue line into Chicago and walked to Lake Michigan. Then I fould some of that famous Chicago pizza. I was lucky enough to find Pizano's, the place that Oprah mentioned on her show, and it was good.

Leaving

I'm not sure what I'm going to do with a 10 hour layover in Chicago but I'm sure I'll find something to do.

First full day in Germany and I realized that I had locked up my camera in my backpack with the key to the padlock, but I think I've got it taken care of. I was at he Haupbahnhof (main train station) in Frankfurt when realized what I had done.
